FALL-WINTER 1965 .- Collection MONDRIAN and POLIAKOFF. Suede coats with knitted sleeves. Mink coats with "Cire". Single color coats. Two colors knitted tunics and dresses. Dresses homage to Mondrian and Poliakoff. Backless dresses, or belly exposed dresses.
VOGUE 1567. One-piece dress and coat.- High-waisted dress has contrasting bodice with high band collar, a button-trimmed inset, and sleeve banding to match gathered skirt. Self belt. Long sleeved, double-breasted coat with yoke seam has wide, button-trimmed belt and pockets in seams. Trim stitching.
VOGUE 1556.- One-piece dress. Shift dress with wide contrasting yoke and hem bad has long sleeves slightly gathered into contrasting band cuffs.
That is a nice one. It is on my list. The whole FW 1965 collection is very clean and elegant with simple shapes. The Vogue pattern of the Mondrian dress is #1557. That is a hard one to find and very expensive.
ResponderEliminarI'm with you Summerset. This collection is impeccable. It mixes classic styles with new styles, very "avantgarde" for that time. The sixties were very competitive in the Haute-Couture, a lot of creativity. You know: Rabanne, Cardin, Courreges, etc.
